Fildes Enrichment is a peptic digest of sheep blood, used as a growth factor, for the isolation and growth of fastidious organisms. The factors X (hemin) and V (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) included are especially required for the growth of Haemophilus influenzae.

STORAGE
Fildes Enrichment is available in a solution form and should be kept between -20º C and +8º C in the dark.


PREPARATION
Fildes Enrichment is an heat labile solution and should be added to the sterile culture media cooled to 45-50º C, usual as a 5% final concentration.

Results after 48 hrs at 35ºC 5-10% CO2
